SD Media Pros is holding our Biennial Camera Shootout Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at John Paul the Great Catholic University on Grand Avenue in Escondido.
The format is all about the best camera for the media purpose. From high end to entry level, every camera fits a production niche. To highlight this focus we have assembled a panel of experts headed by Michael Brueggemeyer, along with Stephen Mickelsen and Stephen Scavulli.
The camera lineup includes: Red, JVC, Panasonic, Nikon, Canon and Black Magic. We are supported locally by Larry McDaniel of George’s Camera and Bill Lanzarotta of Voice & Video. Also, Rob Trap and Carlos Grijalva, representing RentCine and Grijalva Films will be there showing off their new URSA Mini Pro 4.6K now available for rent. National reps include Alicia Reed from JVC and Bernie Mitchell and Steve Milley from Panasonic.
Our location at John Paul the Great Catholic University is perfect for this event. The large studio has plenty of room to spread out. It’s on the corner of Grand and Maple in Escondido, with the studio entrance on Maple. There is plenty of free parking on the street or free parking lots a block either way off Maple.
Be sure to arrive early for one-on-one with the vendors. Refreshments, snacks and light appetizers will be served.
The meeting starts at 6pm for check-in and a chance to review cameras close-up with vendors. The formal presentation begins at 7pm. Final one-on-one with vendors is at 8:30 and we will wrap by 9pm.
Members: Free, Non-Members: $15 pre-registered, $20 at the door.
