The stage was set for a great meeting at The Film Hub in Vista, with over 50 people on hand to learn more about set design and art direction from Lauren Felhaber and Woody Woodburn of of Inspired Images Studios.
SD Media Pros members were treated to stories of how to (and how not to) construct flats, design sets, and partner with your art team for great results. Lauren and Woody not only shared their years of expertise in the art and craft of film and TV sets but also the novel approaches they are taking at The Film Hub to create a co-working space that doubles as standing sets for functional offices and a kitchen. To wrap up they invited their colleague, Elias Acosta, to talk about the future of set design and digital set extension. Elias shared the benefits this new technology is bringing to Hollywood productions today and when it might be accessible to indie and lower budget productions.
