From Financing to the
Finish Line
Session Description:
What does it take to get independent film financing?
Raising money for an independent film requires more than a great script—it requires understanding how to structure deals, attract investors, and assemble the right talent to make a project financially viable.
Drawing from his experience financing and producing nearly a dozen feature films, Price Productions founder and CEO Keli Price will share real-world insights into the strategies that have helped him build a repeatable independent film financing model.
This presentation will give filmmakers a practical look at what it takes to move beyond the pitch and successfully put together the financing and talent needed to get a film made.
Bio
Keli Price is the founder and CEO of Price Productions, a Los Angeles-based independent film production and financing company he built from the ground up in 2017.
In under a decade, Price has structured financing and produced or executive produced close to a dozen feature films, building Price Productions into a company that finances and produces roughly six films a year — a track record few independent producers can match.
His ability to attach A-list talent and assemble financing has drawn stars including Mel Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Elisha Cuthbert, Mickey Rourke, Harvey Keitel, Danny Trejo, Pierce Brosnan, and Lily James to his slate. His executive-produced crime drama Bandit (2022) became a commercial proof point for independently financed film, landing at #1 on Apple TV's independent film chart and becoming Redbox's most-watched original title of the year. His comedy Reboot Camp went on to win the Comedy Vanguard Audience Award at the Austin Film Festival.
Price's current slate includes the Cliffhanger reboot and several other features in post- and pre-production, reflecting a financing model built for volume and repeatability rather than one-off deals.
At Fund Your Film 2.0, Keli will draw on this real-world experience to break down what it actually takes to raise capital as an independent producer — from structuring deals to attracting talent that gets a film financed.
