Bio
Award-winning Actress, Writer, Media Production Consultant
After her master’s program in Radio and Television from Indiana University, Connie moved to San Diego in 1977 and was hired at Channel 8 – working there until 1987 in various capacities including directing and live staff announcing.
She began her free-lance career as a voice talent, on and off-camera talent, media scriptwriter and video producer in the early 80’s. She was hired at General Dynamics wearing all her hats and supervised a film and video department of 16 until the company shut down in San Diego in 1994 and she returned to free-lance work running her own business – 42nd Street Productions.
Concurrently, she taught voice acting at City College for almost 20 years, as well as speaking and presenting at workshops and conferences.
Connie was inducted into the NATAS-PSW Silver Circle in 2017. Over the years she has held various leadership roles including President of San Diego AFTRA, President of San Diego ITVA and eventually Executive Director of MCA-I (precursors to SD Media Pros).
Connie has been involved in community theater since the 90’s, garnering multiple ACT nominations and ultimately winning an Aubrey for her role as Rose in “Rose and Walsh” at Point Loma Playhouse. Her latest stage venture is doing stand up comedy as part of The Brassy Broads.
She also writes plays and her first play, “Silkworms”, was staged at Lamplighters Community Theater in 2023. Two of her other plays were selected for Staged Readings in 2026. “Nothing But The Truth” as part of the New Works Festival at Trinity Theater and “200 Coffee Filters” at The Old Town Theater by The What Next? Collective.
