HEY THERE, MEDIA PROS!

On behalf of San Diego Media Pros, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your contributions to each of you who turned out and helped out with the Underwater Film Workshop held on Saturday, July 12 at the Coggan Family Aquatics Complex. It was truly a memorable and inspiring day.

A special thank you to our incredible presenters and panelists:

• Jeffrey Lehmann of Barnstormer Productions for helping to shape the day’s vision and facilitating the panels 

• Omar David, Camera Operator and Gates Underwater Housing representative, for his insights and hands-on guidance in the pool

• Christine Cavarlez of The Surreal Sirena for bringing magic to the event—your presence as a mermaid captivated us all

• Cheryl and Nick Dean from the San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition for sharing your documentary expertise and deep knowledge of San Diego’s underwater film history

• JT Teiper for your vivid and personal account of underwater lighting challenges during night shoots

And a very big thank you to our volunteers—Bob Unger, Mark Strube, Brad Nielsen, Sandi Masori, Michael Wood, Jane Hare and Jeff Troeber —whose behind-the-scenes support kept everything running smoothly.

From the informative morning sessions to the lively afternoon demonstrations, and even the opportunity for participants to dive in themselves, the workshop offered a full, hands-on experience. The community spirit, the wealth of information shared, and the collaboration on display made it a truly beautiful day.

We are grateful for your passion and professionalism and look forward to more creative adventures ahead.
