How to act during strike

Though the last actor's strike was in the 80's and the process is anything but easy, SAG AFTRA has begun granting limited waivers to independent film productions NOT affiliated with the AMPTP. But what about actors not on an indie feature? Here's a brief story on how to "act" during the strike.
